KARACHI – Hafiz Saeed, the chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and a leader of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC), has said that he does not intend to form a political party, as he is not a political person, reported the BBC.
Talking to a group of journalists a hotel, Hafiz said his activists and sympathisers were free to cast their vote according to their liking, adding that they had been using their right to franchise in the favour of the PML-N and the Jamaat-e-Islami.
He opined that the PTI had emerged as another entity, for which the JuD members could use their vote, as they were free and there was no bar on the part of his group.
Talking about the charity work actively launched by the JuD across the country in recent years, Hafiz said medics from the JuD had been working in many areas, while there was a very strong network of welfare work in the rural parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan.
