SHEIKHUPURA - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been keen to provide relief to the common man and for the purpose the Punjab government has set up Ramazan bazaars across the province.
It was stated Special Advisor to Chief Minister Muhammad Mustafa Shahzad Mughal during his visit to different Ramazan bazaars here on Saturday.
He went around Ramazan bazaars and inspected various stalls. TMO Abdul Sattar Ghaffar and others official concerned were also present on the occasion. He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the district administration at the bazaars.
He directed the TMO to focus on provision of facilities to the consumers during the holy month of Ramazan.
DCO IMPOSES SECTION 144: The District Coordination Officer (DCO) has imposed section 144, banning display of arms in view to maintain law and order in the district and ensure strict security measures in markets, outside all mosques, imambargahs and other religious places particularly ahead of Eidul Fitr. However, all the security institutions including guards were exempted from the section 144.
DSJ order release of 5 prisoners: District and Sessions Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmed ordered the release of 5 prisoners involved in minor crimes during his visit to the district jail here on Saturday. The judge also inspected various barracks and listen to the grievances and complaints of the prisoners. He directed the jail authority to take positive steps to provide maximum relief to the inmates.
Meanwhile, the judge also visited jail hospital, kitchen (langar-khana), children and women barracks, water filtration plant, medicine store including newly constructed library. Jail Superintendent Muhammad Qadeer Aalam, Megistrate Jehangir Gondal, Javed Iqbal Sapra, District Bar Association President Rana Saif Ullah, Secretary Tahir Shahzad Kamboh and others were also present on the occasion.
