LAHORE – A teenage girl died and eight people sustained wounds in rain-related incidents in the City on Saturday.

The wounded, including women and children, were shifted to the City hospitals – including Sir Ganga Ram, Mayo and Services Hospitals.

The roof of a house caved in the Shalimar area, seriously injuring a 14-year-old girl. She was shifted to a hospital where she succumbed to her wounds. The deceased was daughter of Sheikh Akram. Akram’s house was stated to be in a dilapidated condition.

Separately, the roof of a plastic factory collapsed in Badami Bagh, wounding three people. The injured were identified as Fazelat Bibi, Shamim Bibi and Jameel.

A woman and her son sustained critical wounds when the roof of their home caved in at F-Block of Johar Town during the heavy rain. According to the Garden Town police, two motorcyclists were hurt when a billboard fell down. They were identified as Saleem and Waseem.
