LAHORE – A 22-year-old youth was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle while a 50-year-old unnamed man was fond dead in the City on Saturday.
As per police reports, two motorcyclists were hit by a rashly driven truck from the rear side, which resulted in an accident near Jalo Mor in the Batapur police area. Subsequently, the youth identified as Sheroz was shifted to the nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. The body was removed to the City morgue for autopsy, while the accused truck driver has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
Similarly, an unidentified man was found dead near Karim Hospital at Allama Iqbal Road in the Garhi Shahu police area. Police pronounced him as drug addict and removed the body to the City morgue. Police, however, are awaiting the autopsy report to ascertain the real cause of his death.
VICTIM DIES: Another victim of the Wednesday’s fruit market bomb blast succumbed to injuries at the Mayo Hospital late on Saturday, raising the death toll to three. The deceased, yet to be identified, was admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital.
