Islamabad - One person was killed and a minor injured in a clash between two groups near Kinara Restaurant in the limits of Secretariat police station on Tuesday. The police said that Raja Amir (32) was killed while his nephew Awais (11) got bullet injuries as the two groups opened fire at each other over the issue of construction of a kiosk in green belt. Police immediately reached the crime scene and shifted the injured and the dead body to the hospital. The police said that Raja Amir wanted to establish a kiosk on the green belt near the restaurant while some other people having boat business at Rawal Dam opposed the same. Both the parties exchanged hot words before opening fire at each other. Resultantly, Raja Amir died on the spot while his nephew got bullet injuries. The accused including Mujahid and Yaseen have been booked under section 302 of the PPC and further investigation is under way. Meanwhile, one Bilal (20) was electrocuted near Trarmery Chowk in the area of Koral police station here. Separately, Islamabad police have arrested 11 outlaws including two bike-lifters during high vigilance in the city, besides recovering 3 stolen bikes, 1.340 kilograms hashish and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Police teams managed to arrest nine persons Hassan Ali, resident of Sector I-10/2, and Khair Ullah, resident of Sector I-10/1, and recovered 3 bikes stolen from the area of Sabzi Mandi police station. Further investigation is under way.

Meanwhile on a tip-off, Lohi Bher police arrested four accused Mazhar Amin, Ahmed Raiz, Kirn Usman and Nayla involved in immoral activities while Shalimar police arrested two persons namely Abdul-Haq and Azhar Saeed involved in immoral activities. Koral police recovered 1.340 kilograms hashish from the possession of arrested accused Waheed Akhtar. Sihala police arrested accused Muhammad Irshad and recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from him. Golra police during search in Muhallah Khanawala Golra Sharif recovered weapons as three 12-bore gun, one carbine, and one 7MM rifle along with ammunition. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way.
