SIALKOT/GUJRAT -Two death row prisoners were sent to the gallows here on Tuesday. In Sialkot, a murder convict Lazars Maseeh was hanged to death in district jail. According the jail management, the convict had killed a child Zeeshan in Naikapura-Sialkot after kidnapping and criminally molesting him in 2003.
The jail officials handed over the dead body to the heirs after the execution.Another death row prisoner Ghulam Rasool was executed in Gujrat district jail. He was awarded death penalty for the murder of a student in 2000.
Meanwhile, the scheduled execution of two more condemned prisoners was deferred in Multan and Sahiwal prisons following their agreements with victim families.
