ISLAMABAD - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Wednesday visited Baloch Regimental Centre Abbottabad on the occasion of annual Commanding Officers Conference.
The COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada on his arrival at Baloch Regimental Centre and later addressed the officers.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, the COAS appreciated Baloch regiment for displaying the highest standards in all professional pursuits, including their befitting participation in operations.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS emphasised that commanders at all levels should stay focused on achieving professional excellence while keeping themselves abreast with the latest developments to overcome emerging challenges.
Earlier on his arrival at the Regimental Centre, the COAS was received by the Colonel Commandant Baloch Regiment Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas, Inspector General Arms Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan and Commandant Baloch Regimental Centre Brigadier Osman lbne Riaz.
Gen Bajwa salutes to martyrs of Pakistan Police
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid homage to the martyrs of police force on Police Martyrs Day observed across the country on Wednesday.
“Pakistan Police has made monumental sacrifices in the line of duty over the years, contributing immensely in bringing peace and stability to the country ,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate quoted the COAS as having said in his message.
Meanwhile, on Police Martyrs Day, Pakistan Air Force also paid homage to the sacrifices of valiant personnel of Pakistan Police Force who laid down their lives to ensure peace, stability and security in the country. “PAF salutes their patriotism, bravery and responsiveness to the call of duty,” says a press release issued by PAF on Wednesday.
