SWAT The Nawa-i-Waqt Group on Saturday distributed relief packages among 300 flood-affected families at Tahir Abad, Faiz Abad and Banr areas, the worst deluge-hit localities in district Swat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Upon the special directives of Managing Director Nawa-i-Waqt Group Majid Nizami, a flood relief fund has been set up so as to help the needy and the flood victims at this critical time. On Saturday, two trucks loaded with relief packages which contained- sugar, tea and milk packs, flour bags, biscuits, pulses, quilts and sheets and other items were distributed among 300 flood-hit families at Tahir Abad, Faiz Abad and Banr areas in Swat. The deluge affectees families lauded Nawa-i-Waqt Group for assisting them at this critical phase of their lives, also called upon the wealthy and well-off people to come forward for helping them. On this occasion, donated by Mrs Pervez Iqbal, a total of 100 woolen chaddars 50-each male and female were also distributed among the affected people. The Business Executive of the Nawa-i-Waqt Group Peshawar, Ali Khan Yousafzai distributed these relief packages. Besides, Anwarzeb, reporter Waqt TV, Salahuddin, Presidetn Swat Press Club and correspondent daily Nawa-i-Waqt, daily TheNation reporter Haroon Siraj, Fasihullah and Mehmood were also present on the occasion. Earlier, Nawa-i-Waqt Group has distributed same packages among flood-hit families at Nowshera, Swat, Charsadda and Peshawar. Speaking on the occasion, Nawa-i-Waqt Group Peshawar Business Executive Ali Khan Yousafzai said that Nawa-i-Waqt Group would continue assisting flood victims under the leadership of Managing Director Nawa-i-Waqt Group Majid Nizami.
