LAHORE - District and Sessions Court on Saturday ordered the DSP concerned to register cases under Anti-terrorism Act against two persons namely Razia Bibi and Muhammad Naveed for offering resistance and using abusive language against the court bailiff Zulifqar appointed for the recovery of three minors from their father Saleems illegal custody. One Riana Kausar, mother of three children, had filed habeas corpus petition against her husband Muhammad Saleem for the recovery of the three minors from his illegal custody. She alleged that on strained relations her husband kicked her out from his house and he kept the children illegally in his custody so far. She prayed before the court to recover her children and handed over to her for their better care. On petitioners plea the court appointed bailiff Zulifqar to recover the children and produce them before the court. On the court orders, the bailiff Zulifqar raided at Saleems residence located at Model Town on Nov 29, 2010 and inquired about Saleem from Razia Bibi and Naveed who were present there. They informed the bailiff that Saleem was not at home. Razia Bibi and Naveed used abusive language and offered resistance to bailiff when he along with a lady constable Zubaida Akram tried to recover the children from Saleems custody. On a court notice, Saleem appeared before the court yesterday (Saturday) and informed the court that children were in Sheikhupura, after which the Judge Sohail Nasir ordered the DSP concerned to recover the children from Saleems illegal custody and handed over them to their mother Riana Kausar. The court also ordered the DSP to register case under Anti-Terrorism Act against Razia and Naveed for offering resistance and using abusive language against the court bailiff Zulifqar.
