No compromise on national dignity, says Dr Firdous

SIALKOT - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the honour and dignity of the nation will not be compromised at any cost and the government will take important decisions by taking all stakeholders on board and after the consultations. She stated this while talking to the locals at her native village Koobay Chak-Bajwat, Sialkot tehsil here Sunday. She added that the elected government of Pakistan Peoples Party would not take dictation from anyone and effectively safeguard the national interests. The time has proved that the democratic governments always fought for cause of nation very effectively at international forums, she revealed. The democratic government takes decisions as masses stand behind it, she added. Replying to a question, Dr Firdous said that the government affectively handled the challenges presently being faced by the country. She said the government duly acknowledges the mandate of the people and would take decisions in their interest. She stressed the need for unity among the Muslims to confront the challenges of this era.
