3-month training for media men next month



PESHAWAR – The University of Peshawar in collaboration with GiZ Germany is going to start a three-month certificate course.
The course ‘IPR Certification’ will focus on imparting training in practical journalism for the tribal journalists and district correspondence of various print and electronic media for their capacity building in the field.
Selected number of students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication would also be enrolled in the certificate course starting January next year.
This was decided in a meeting of GiZ team led by Stefan Schmid, Coordinator FATA Development Programme with Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz.
The university is host to around 2,000 FATA students who are performing well in various disciplines, said Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz while talking to the three-member visiting delegation.
The head delegation said that his organization is working closely with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Peshawar and aims at giving best journalists to this area.
