Multan - Hinting at a likely electoral alliance with the PML-N, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) or religious parties, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said that seat adjustment arrangement can be made with any party except the members of ruling coalition.

Talking to a delegation of JI office-bearers and workers on Tuesday, he added that the Jamaat was in contact with the above mentioned parties and all options were open for seat adjustment for the upcoming general elections. He said that the rulers launched a propaganda drive through media and state resources to befool the masses. He asked the JI workers to counter government’s propaganda campaign through massive contact drive and tell the people about rulers anti-public acts including corruption and looting of national wealth. He alleged that from President Zardari to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and all ministers told lies to the masses. “They have broken all previous records of corruption,” he maintained.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Ameer Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar has said that if his party comes into power, it will give equal rights to all citizens besides offering free education and healthcare facilities. He added that the price hike will be brought down by 30 per cent. He said that the country owned rich natural resources and we could bring Pakistan on par with other developed countries through just utilization of these resources.

“The JI has a vision to run this country. We’ll promote free of corruption and bribe culture where all decisions will be made in the light of Quran and Sunnah,” he added.
