PESHAWAR – Prominent nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadir Khan on Tuesday stressed upon the youngsters to rise up for a positive change in the country, as the rulers have pushed the country into the US slavery.
“The worsening law and order situation, price rocketing, unabated loadshedding of electricity and gas, and increasing unemployment ratio have made the life of the masses miserably,” said Dr Qadir said while addressing a gathering of the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) here at Jamaat-e-Islami provincial office in Peshawar.
He said that the country has dearth of natural resources but always the country faced a problem of lack of sincere leadership, he added. Pakistan, he said, can move ahead of Turkey and Malaysia, but only when the authority of the country comes into the hands of devoted and sincere leadership, and it is the youth to come forward and play their active role for the motherland, he said.
He claimed that the rulers have pushed the country into the slavery of the US and Western countries, but the new generation will turn the country into its actual Islamic welfare state, he vowed.
Dr Qadir later visited the Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter head office Al-Markaz Islami and met party’s former chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad and other provincial leaders.
Qazi, on the occasion, said that it was misfortune that ‘Fatwas’ decries are being issued against one another and putting mud at each other for personal interests, adding the youth were being kept away from Islam under a well-hatched conspiracy.
