QUETTA - Two people were killed and three others wounded, including brother of Balochistan Finance Minister in separate firing incidents in different parts of Balochistan, on Tuesday. A blast also occurred in Frontier Corps camp in Turbat.

According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on brother of Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gaillo, Muhammad Asif Deputy Superintendent Customs in Panjgour town when he was on his way to office.

As a result, he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical aid. The assailants fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Police said that investigations were underway into the attack ,however, no arrest was made in the connection.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In another incident, unidentified men killed a driver and wounded two others in District Qila Saifullah.

Levies sources said that armed men opened indiscriminate firing on workers of a road construction company in at Kanchogi area in tehsil Muslim Bagh.

Resultantly, bulldozer driver Muhammad Khalid died on the spot and Qari and Muhammad Faisal were seriously wounded in the attack. The attackers escaped from the site after committing the crime.

Local administration rushed to the area and moved the dead and injured to hospital.

Levies sources said that driver Muhammad Khalid was resident of Punjab ,adding, that the incident could be case of target killing.

Local administration has registered a case and started investigations into the incident.

In Quetta, police recovered a body from Essa Nagri Brewery Road Quetta and shifted it to hospital for autopsy. However, identity of deceased could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, explosives planted near a camp of Frontier Corps (FC) at Commissioner Road Turbat exploded with a huge blast. However, no loss of life and damage to property was reported.

Sources said that soon after the blast heavy gunfire was heard in the area that created panic and fear amongst the people.
