PESHAWAR – Additional Chief Secretary FATA Dr. Tashfeen Khan, while presenting a review of FATA Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2012 to FATA Parliamentarians on Tuesday, said that no stone would be left unturned to ensure the implementation of development projects in FATA and Frontier Regions. He said that any resistance that undermines our attempts to benefit the people of FATA would not be tolerated.

On the occasion, Secretary Planning and Development FATA Shehzad Khan Bangish informed the participants that total FATA ADP worth Rs 16000 million with which 915 ongoing schemes and 360 new schemes would be financed.

He explained that 243 of the 915 ongoing schemes are to be completed, whereas 100 out of 360 new schemes have already been approved for implementation”.

The Secretary P&D told that the allocations would be dispensed to total 16 sectors including education, health, irrigation and communication/infrastructure. He also informed the parliamentarians about various issues and problems faced by FATA Secretariat in materializing these allocations.

The panel of FATA Parliamentarians included Senator Saleh Shah, MNA Akhunzada Chitan, Senator Jawad Hussain, MNA Sajid Hussain Tori, MNA Pir Noorulhaq Qadri, and MNA Hamid ullah Jan Afridi.

They appreciated the endeavours of FATA Secretariat for the development of FATA and FRs. They emphasized the need for the availability of resources for the development of conflict torn FATA, and said that they raise the voice for the reimbursement of Rs.4 billion to FATA Secretariat for ADP 2012 in the parliament.
