LAHORE - Lahore Lions, Peshawar Panther, Abbottabad Falcons, Karachi Zebra, Faisalabad Wolves and Karachi Dolphins won their respective matches on the fourth day of the Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cricket Tournament here at three various venues of the city on Tuesday.

At Gaddafi Stadium, Shahzaib Hasan and Atif Maqbool steered Karachi Dolphins to three-wicket win against Lahore Eagles. Put into bat first, Lahore Eagles could manage 113/8 in 20 overs. Karachi Dolphins bowlers struggled to get early wickets but managed to restrict Eagles to 113. Atif Iqbal of Dolphins claimed 3 wickets for 20 runs. Misbah Khan got 2/12. Eagles Taufeeq and Azhar added 40 runs for the second-wicket but after their departure struggled throughout the match. Taufeeq (17) Azhar Ali (24)  and Saad scored 28 runs.

Karachi Dolphins started innings under game plan and achieved the target in 18.4 overs. Karachi Dolphins started aggressive after the departure of opener Khurram. Shahzaib Hasan and Fawad Alam played sensibly and added 38 runs for the second-wicket partnership. Shahzaib and Fawad Alam continued their innings in same style in which he used to play in international matches. He was caught by Taufiq of Asif Raza. Boom Boom Afridi came to the crease and crowd started shouting ‘Boom Boom Afridi’. The stylish all-rounder entertained the fans with same style and played aggressive shots but Raza Ali Dar sent him back to pavilion when Afridi score was 19 runs. After Afridi dismissal Dolphins lost another wicket while 23 runs required for victory. But Anwar Ali played vital innings of 14 runs and guided his team to three wickets victory. Raza Ali Dar claimed three wickets.

Shahzeb Hasan and Atif Maqbool of Karachi Dolphins were declared joint men of the match.

LIONS THRASHED LEOPARDS: In the match at LCCA ground, Lahore Lions made 105/4 in 14.5 overs to thrash Islamabad Leopards (104-8 in 20 overs) by six wickets. Batting first, Islamabad Leopards could score 104/8 . Amad Wasim made 20 runs. Aizaz Cheema and Wahab Riaz clinched three wickets each while Adnan Rasool got 2/16.  Chasing the target of 105 runs, Ahmed Shahzad of Lahore Loins played scintillating innings and slammed 45-ball 56 runs with eight fours and one six. Ahmed Shahzad was named man of the match.

PANTHER STUN HYDERABAD: At Bagh-e-Jinnah, Peshawar Panther (185/5) shocked Hyderabad Hawks (141) by 44 runs. M Nawaz of Peshawar Panther was top scorer as he collected 53 runs off 34 balls with eight fours. Akbar Badshah (39) and Shoaib Khan (30) and Iftikhar Ahmed (27) also batted well.

In reply, Hyderabad Hawks could manage 141 runs in 20 overs. Kashif Bhatti scored 25 runs and Aqeel Anjum 22. Aziz Ullah (3-21), Akbar Badshah (2-36) and Zohaib Ahmed (2-23) were main wicket getters for the winners. M Nawaz of Peshawar Panther was named man of the match.

ABBOTTABAD BEAT MULTAN: At Gaddafi Stadium, Abbottabad Falcons edged out Multan Tigers by seven runs. Abbottabad Falcons scored 106/8 in 20 overs. Younus Khan played well and made 35 runs. M Irfan (3-17), Kashif Naveed (2-18) and Zulfiqar Babar 2-21 bowled well from Multan. Multan Tigers, in reply, could score 99/9 in 20 overs. Naveed Yasin made 37 with four fours. Ahmed Jamal claimed 4-21 and Amjad Waqas 2-15. Ahmed Jamal of Abbottabad Falcons earned man of match award.

KARACHI SHOCK QUETTA: At LCCA ground, Karachi Zebra (125-9) shocked Quetta Bears (125-9) by seven wickets. Quetta Bears, batting first, scored 125-9 in 20 overs. Mohib Ullah made 44. Faraz Ahmed (3-22) and Haris Ilyas (3-25) bowled well. In reply, Karachi Zebra achieved the target after losing three wickets. Fahad Iqbal remained unbeaten 51-ball 53 runs with four fours. Faisal Iqbal was retired hurt on 27 runs while Saeed bin Nasir collected 23 runs. Gohar Faiz bagged two wickets for 15 runs. Fahad Iqbal of Karachi Zebra was man of the match.

WOLVES BEAT RAMS:  At Bagh-e-Jinnah, Faisalabad Wolves (148-8 in 20 overs) beat Rawalpindi Rams (131) by 17 runs. Faisalabad Wolves posted 148-8 in 20 overs. Ali Waqas collected 53 runs with four fours and two sixes. Khurram Shahzad (33) also batted well. Sohail Tanveer (3-23) and Yasir Arafat (2-37) bowled well. Rawalpindi Rams, in reply were bundled out for 131 runs in 18.1 overs.

Umar Amin made 47 runs, Babar Naeem 25 and Jamal Anwar 21. Asad Ali (3-27), Saeed Ajmal (2-21), and Khurram Shahzad (2-25) bowled well. Khurram Shahzad of Faisalabad Wolves named man of the match.
