In coordination with American Consulate, University of Sargodha has set up Lincoln Corner at the Central library.
UoS Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Akram inaugurated the corner. The Counsel General of United States Consulate Mena Maria addressed through video link. In her video conference, Mina Maria said that 13 Lincoln Corners of such kind were functioning throughout Pakistan. Three of them were established in Punjab. Amongst them University of Sargodha was at the top, she added. She praised the ongoing educational and research progress of UoS. 
In his address Dr Akram said that in this speedily progressing and changing global life countries should benefit from each other in the field of education and research.
The friendship between America and Pakistan is based on knowledge and research, he said and added that with the creation of Lincoln Corner this friendship would further strengthen. The vice chancellor stressed a need for strong relations between the East and the West.
