KARACHI - The federal anti-corruption court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s daughter Naheed Durrani.

According to reports, the arrest warrant was issued because Naheed Durrani failed to appear in court on multiple occasions during a case related to import-export in which the Federal Investigation Agency had nominated her as a witness.

The court has now ordered the FIA to arrest Naheed Durrani and present her in court on December 11.

Naheed Durrani, a CSS qualified officer, is said to be one of the most powerful bureaucrats in the present set-up, and has previously served as Secretary Education, Secretary Finance and Secretary Planning and Development for Sindh.
