KHYBER AGENCY - Three persons including two personnel of Frontier Corp (FC) and a passer-by woman got injured when a vehicle of security forces was targeted with roadside improvised explosive device (IED), planted by unknown militants, at Malik Shaga, Ghundi, in tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency on Wednesday. The sources said that FC soldiers were on routine patrolling in the area when they were attacked with remote-controlled bomb.

Soon after the incident, the officials of security forces and political administration rushed towards the scene, cordoned off the whole area and shifted the wounded to military and civil hospitals, Jamrud, sources said. The two FC personnel were identified as Zabit Ullah and Abdur Rasool, sources said. The forces with assistance of administration launched massive search operation in the area; however, no arrest was reported till filing of this report.

Assistant Political Agent (APA),Jamrud Jahangir Azam, visited Jamrud Hospital and enquired after health of the wounded woman. He also granted Rs 50,000 to her for her treatment, sources said.
