Managing our anger



We see angry politicians daily on our TV screens shouting and abusing each other. Though anger is a natural emotion, that we all experience, its manifestation it is mostly negative and can harm us or the people around us. The feeling is not a problem; it is what we do when angry that makes a difference. Learning to control our anger and express it appropriately can help us build a better relationship and achieve our goals. If our politicians listened to each other and answered the complains, instead of abusing, we would have resolved many issues.
Multi-national companies are focusing on ‘Anger Management’ now and helping employees over come it as this can hinder performance and reducing productivity. There are many tools that can help everyone overcome anger, such as thinking before we speak, once we are calm we can express our concern without anger. It helps to exercise or take some time out, identify possible solutions, using humour to release tension and practice relaxation skills. Mastering the art of anger management takes work, but the more its practiced the easier it gets.
