Jam holds talks with Baloch leader in Moscow

ISLAMABAD - Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal held an important meeting with founder of Overseas Pakistani Baloch Unity Dr Jumma Khan Marri and both have agreed to launch an awareness campaign against the anti-Pakistan Baloch separatist leaders involved in disruptive activities in Pakistan and to work for mainstreaming the alienated Baloch leaders through dialogue.

The meeting, which took place in Moscow on Monday last, discussed the alleged role of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in the recent attack on Chinese Consulate in Karachi.

Dr Jumma Marri suggested that the Pakistan government should provide evidence of BLA’s involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan and demand of UK authorities to help stop terrorists including Harbiyar Marri from using UK soil for such disruptive activities in Pakistan.

BLA Commander Harbiyar Marri was staying in UK on asylum and was operating his terrorist activities against Pakistan from there and had openly admitted his hand behind a number of terrorist attacks in Balochistan resulting in the killing of hundreds of innocent people.

He further asked Jam Kamal that Pakistan should actively raise the issue on all available international forums especially in United Nations Organisation.

Dr Marri promised to voice his concerns regarding this issue in European Union Parliament.

Jam Kamal and Dr Marri vowed to spread further awareness among Europe’s Pakistani community about the so-called leaders, who are actively involved in various terrorist activities in Pakistan.

The Balochistan chief minister was also invited by Dr Jumma Marri on the launching ceremony of OPBU’s Europe Chapter (expected to be held in near future).

During this upcoming ceremony a few prominent Baloch personalities are expected to join the mainstream Pakistani politics by declaring their dissociation with anti-Pakistani forces.

The chief minister applauded Dr Jumma Marri’s efforts and promised complete support from the government.

The meeting proved to be a success and negotiations have been sought to be the only solution to this ordeal.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal is on an official visit to Russia nowadays. Ambassador of Pakistan to Russia Qazi Khalilullah hosted a dinner in his honour at Pakistan Embassy in Moscow.

Punjab Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Adviser to KP CM Kamran Khan Bangash, Shahzad Khan and Amir Shoukat were also present on the occasion.
