A spooky warning

I am doing M. Phil from the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. I wrote a seminar paper on 'Indo-Pak strategic culture' as a course requirement and submitted to my teacher Dr 'X'. To my astonishment, my seminar paper got published in the Journal of Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) Islamabad in the name of Dr 'X' I decided to claim the article as per my intellectual right and sent a notice to the IRS on January 27, 2009 along with evidence of my ownership of the article requesting them to initiate an inquiry. But the IRS has not even bothered to let me explain the whole matter. The reason could be that Dr X has very strong influence in this institution, as he is a member of the IRS advisory board as well. His friends and students are pressurizing me since to compromise with him. Dr X has himself even hinted at getting me a job. But the thing that is worrying me most is that a few days ago, somebody whose caller I.D was not showing on my phone, called to threaten me. He claimed that he belonged to some intelligence institution and warned of severe consequences for me and my family if I do not compromise with Dr. X as he is one of the prominent personality of the country. I request the media to help. The details of my case can be confirmed from the present head of the department Dr Rifaat Hussain. -MIRZA MUHAMMAD MASOOD AKBAR, Islamabad, via e-mail, February 3.
