2 killed, 12 injured in Lashkar Gah bomb blast

A bomb planted in a motorcycle in southern Afghanistan's most dangerous province killed two people on Friday and wounded at least 12, police said. The bomb exploded in Lashkar Gah, capital of Helmand province, said Ahmad Nabi, a senior provincial police official. U.S. and British troops in the province are gearing up for a major offensive on the western outskirts of Lashkar Gah.
