President Asif Ali Zardari said Pakistan remains firmly committed to finding a just and peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute and stressed that the Kashmiris be associated with the dialogue process. Pakistan would persist in its efforts for seeking a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, the President said in a message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, marked each year to reiterate political, moral and diplomatic support for their just and legitimate struggle for the realization of their right to self determination. We are of the firm belief that the Kashmiris should be associated with the dialogue process. Ultimately, Kashmiris would be the final arbiters of their destiny, President Zardari said. The President said the right of self determination was enshrined in the UN Charter and relevant UN Resolutions. He said the day is also an occasion to pay tributes to the brave people of Jammu and Kashmir for their heroic sacrifices and for their steadfast resolve to realize their just aspirations. President Zardari reassured the Kashmiri brethren that Pakistan remains firmly committed to finding a just and peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and for full respect for their fundamental rights. We shall stand always with them [Kashmiri brothers] in their just struggle, the President said and added I reiterate to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters our pledge that they have our full moral, diplomatic and political support. We shall stand always with them in their just struggle.
