Target killing more often than not is politically motivated. Not only prominent public figures but ordinary citizens are slain. At the same time, these target killings are prompted by religious or military reasons. It is source of great worry that target killings in Pakistans economic hub, Karachi, are increasing day by day. This gives birth to many questions like why the governments law enforcement agencies and interior ministrys efforts are proving to be a failure and why culprits go scot-free.
