29 terrorists killed in Fata, Bannu

ISLAMABAD/PESHAWAR - Security forces killed at least 29 terrorists in South Waziristan, Khyber Agency and Bannu on Wednesday, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement, the ISPR stated that the troops launched action in Sanzila area of South Waziristan and Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.
In the action, seven militant compounds were also wiped out, the ISPR added.
Meanwhile, at least four militants were killed on Wednesday in a clash between security forces and militants in Bannu’s Jani Khel area.
Official sources said that four militants were killed and one was injured during cross firing with security personnel in Jani Khel.
Separately, law-enforcement agencies arrested at least 20 militants in Kurram Agency and Hangu district.
In a related development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the ongoing search and strike operation throughout the province against criminals and anti-social elements detained 199 suspects and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition.
As per details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the operation conducted in different parts of the province recovered 47 arms and ammunition and 475 rounds of different bore. During the operation, 1,082 houses and 265 hotels were checked and 15 cases were registered against the violators. During snap checking at 138 check points, some 304 suspects were held and recovered 06 arms and 105 cartridges of different bore. During action against illegal Afghans a total of 33 persons were detained and 15 cases were registered against them. Security inspections of 1319 educational institution were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up security arrangements.
39 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN CAPITAL OPERATION
Islamabad police arrested 39 suspects during a search operation conducted in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Police teams conducted search operation in the areas of Machar Colony, Darkh Mohri, Benazir Chowk, Fatheh Jang Road and under-construction buildings as well as plazas there. They succeeded to nab 39 suspects who are being investigated further.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city, besides recovering 42 bottles of wine, 170 grams hashish, 4 illicit pistols along with ammunition and looted items from their possession.
According to details, Aabpara police arrested a bootlegger Aziz and recovered five bottles of wine from him. Kohsar police arrested a bootlegger Waheed and recovered 24 bottles of wine from his possession. Margalla police arrested one Muhammad Shakeel involved in a theft case. Shalimar police arrested a lady Abida Bibi involved in a theft case.
Ramna police recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from the possession of one Ali Abbas. They also arrested Jamshed and Usman for their involvement in a theft case.

 CIA police arrested three accused Yasir Shah, Noman Masood and Sajjad Ali and recovered 3 illicit pistols along with ammunition. Koral police arrested bootlegger Nazeer and recovered 13 bottles of wine from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way.
