SIALKOT:- FIA has arrested 33 Pakistanis deported from Turkey, upon their arrival at Sialkot International Airport.  According to FIA officials, the accused were sent to Turkey illegally by local human traffickers. The Turkish officials had attested them for entering Turkish illegally and deported to Pakistan. The FIA sent the accused behind bars after registering a case against them.–Staff Reporter

 Meanwhile, special recovery teams of Excise & Taxation Department have sealed 211 properties (including houses, shops and commercial buildings)of the chronic defaulters, besides, impounding 55 different vehicles for the non-payment of their taxes. It conducted a crackdown against the defaulters in Gujranwala Division's all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

According to the senior E&T officials, the teams have also seized 2000 vehicles during the crackdown. The officials added that the owners were reluctant to pay their outstanding arrears in the shape of property, professional and registration taxes, besides, ignoring the recovery notices repeatedly issued by the Excise and Taxation Department in this region.
