Islamabad-Islamabad city district administration on Sunday imposed fine of Rs.9 million on 7 marquees and marriage halls over violation of one-dish policy and lights-out timing.

According to the details, the action followed government’s announcement of bringing the marriage halls into the ambit of the law. Seven marquees were fined and a total of Rs0.9 million was recovered.

According to deputy commissioner Islamabad, this enforcement shall continue and strict action shall be taken against wedding hall/marquees owners/management in case of violation of one dish and lights-out timing. He suggested the businessmen to abide by the law to avoid inconvenience.
