JI rally expresses solidarity with Kashmiris

BAHAWALPUR - Expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris, Jamaat e Islami's female workers and children took out a rally from Farid Gate to GPO Chowk.

Addressing the rally, Parliamentary Leader of Jamaat e Islami in Punjab Assembly Dr Syed Wasim Akhtar criticised disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif for calling border between Pakistan and India just a blood line. The attitude of Pakistani leadership is unacceptable and condemnable, he said.

Kashmiris want association with Pakistan while during the last 70 years, India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami supports the cause of Kashmir and it always raised voice against the atrocities in Kashmir at every platform.

Addressing the rally, female leader Dr Samina Rohi said that time had come to launch the decisive struggle to put an end to illegal occupation of India in Kashmir. Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. Sustainable peace could not come in the South Asia until the Kashmir issue is resolved according to the wishes of Kashmiris, she added.
