LAHORE -  A delegation headed by PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmud Qureshi called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) President Ch Shujat Hussain and senior leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi at their residence on Sunday.

Strategy for the victory of PML-Q and PTI’s nominees for Senate elections was the agenda of the meeting, according to a PML-Q’s press release.

Kamil Ali Agha and Ch Sarwar are the PML-Q and PTI’s candidates for the upper house elections scheduled to be held on March 3.

An eight-member committee comprising leadership of both parties was constituted to make strategy for the polls. It was also decided to move in future with consultation and evolve political strategy through mutual consultation.

The PTI delegation included Ch Sarwar, Shafqat Mahmud, Mian Mahmudur Rasheed and Mian Hamid Meraj whereas Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Ch Zaheeruddin, Aamir Sultan Cheema, Ahmad Shah Khagga, Vickas Mokal, Khadeeja Farooqui, Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lukhvi and Shafay Hussain assisted Chaudhrys in the meeting.

Talking to media after the meeting, Ch Pervaiz said that both candidates will succeed in the elections.

Shah Mahmud Qureshi praised Chaudhrys political vision and said both parties will work together for betterment of the country.

Meanwhile, PML-Q’s Kamil Ali Agha submitted his nomination papers in Election Commission of Pakistan for Senate election. PML-Q MPAs Aamir Sultan Cheema, Ahmad Shah Khagga, Vickas Hassan Mokal and Khadeeja Farooqi were accompanied him on the occasion.
