PESHAWAR - Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao on Sunday said that the worsening law and order situation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has exposed the tall claims of the provincial government and spread a wave of uncertainty in the country.

He strongly condemned the suicide attack in Kabal, Swat on Pakistan Army unit, in which 11 soldiers, including a Captain, martyred, and caused injuries to 13.

He expressed his deepest sorrows and condolences over the martyrs, saying that Pakistan Army and nation rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

He said this while addressing a gathering in Sherpao District Charsadda in connection with the preparation of 43rd death anniversary of Shaheed Hayat Muhammad Khan Sherpao that would be observed on 11th February 2018 with great zeal and respect.

He said that terrorism had played havoc with lives of the people in Pakistan and no cowardly attack can deter the nation in pursuing its struggle of Pakistan Army soldiers against the menace of terrorism to its logical conclusion.

He said, “The nation is committed and united and we will continue our fight till the last trace is rooted out.” He said that the people of Swat were most affected by the terrorism and.

He said that their sacrifices had vindicated the reality that even the worst oppression could not defeat a nation and the coward terrorists were no match for the valiant sons of the soil.

He prayed for the blessing of the departed souls and quick recovery of the injured and expressed deep grief and condolences to the bereaved families.  He sighted that the hardcore cases of Shareef Bibi, Asma, and Asma Rani have not been solved and the culprits are still at large.

He regretted that provincial government boasted over the performance of police for political point-scoring but unfortunately the situation is very bad.

He said that over 200 cases have been reported but the government was oblique to his stand, which appears that the rulers were living in fool’s paradise. He regretted that the gruesome situation of the affairs exposed the credentials of the government and serious situation of bad governance had been sacked by them.

He said that good ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan are of vital importance for the regional peace and stability. He contended that concerted efforts were required to end the turmoil in the region.

He said that the two-sided high-level visits for the regional security and terrorism is a good omen and the mutual dialogues were the only solution to end terrorism and extremism. “QWP would not sit by idle and would continue to raise its voice for the welfare of Pakhtuns rights,” he added.
