Islamabad-Inspector General Police Dr Sultan Azam Taimuri on Sunday vowed to transform ICT Police into an exemplary force besides changing the police culture.

Addressing concluding ceremony of six-day training course on behaviour change and self awareness, the IGP directed the police officials to dedicate themselves for serving the people, become people-friendly, promote professionalism and implement law across the board.

He said that aim of arranging the course was to ensure behaviour change of police officials. He directed the police officers to deal the people with decency. He said that different training courses had also been initiated in the school of investigation, school of anti-riots and school of information technology established in the Police Lines.

The specialised training sessions would continue for 12 months.

Meanwhile, Islamabad Police on Sunday arrested 20 drug pushers and recovered drugs and valuables from their possession during search operation in jurisdiction of different police stations of the city. According to the details, the police recovered 6 pistols, mobile phones and motorbikes from possession of the suspects.

The police also recovered 1.8 litters alcohol and 2 kilograms of hashish from them. Aabpara police recovered 3 litters alcohol from accused Raja Faisal.
