ISLAMABAD Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has taken suo moto notice of the issue of alleged Rs 7 billion embezzlement in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The Chief Justice also issued directions to refer the case to Chairman NAB for disposal, a press statement issued here on Monday stated. It further stated that the Chief Justice had taken notice of the alleged embezzlement in Crickets body on an application of one Razaullah Khan resident of Karachi. The applicant had further stated that the Prime Minister had ordered an inquiry into the matter and he (applicant) had forwarded his application to Chairman NAB but no action had been taken yet. The Chief Justice also took suo moto notice on application of Amir Hatim Mian, requesting therein for recovery of her abducted daughter and arrest of the accused persons. He also called report from the Provincial Police Officer NWFP within two weeks. The CJ also sought report from the Inspector General FC and PPO Balochistan pertaining to the complaint of one Noorullah resident of Quetta. The complainant had accused that armed personnel of FC and Balochistan Police had entered his house and taken away his younger brother with them. He had prayed for recovery of his brother in his application.
