SWABI (APP) - PML-N Central Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has denied differences between the government and military saying that the growing feeling of insecurity in the present set-up was self-created and not based on any sound reason. He expressed these views while talking to media here during wedding ceremony of PML-N leader Amir Saeed. Jhagra said that Pakistan Army was performing its professional responsibilities and ruled out any differences between the government and army. He said that the government would complete its five-year tenure provided it worked with political acumen, and maturity adding that the stability of government and institutions depended upon the presence of a robust opposition in the country. He rejected the notion of PML-N playing role of friendly opposition saying that it was due to concerted efforts of the party that the judges were restored and added that PML-N had a declared viewpoint on NRO, Kerry-Lugar Bill and other important issues. To a question, he said that PML-N wanted a strong democratic government in the country and therefore was extending support to the present regime. Moreover, he went on to add that PML-N respected the mandate of the people, and was therefore supporting the democratically elected government. In reply to a query regarding renaming NWFP, he suggested that instead of Afghania and Pukhtoonistan, Khyber and Abaseen were better options as these names were acceptable to people of the province. He said the membership campaign of the party would be started from March at Union Council, Tehsil and district level, and conveners would be nominated at the district level on the basis of merit.
