'Q playing role of real Opp

ISLAMABAD - Criticising the leadership of PML-N, President PML-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday said that his party would keep playing the role of the real opposition in the Parliament. We will continue playing our role as opposition. However today we discussed the overall political situation of the country, adding that the PML-Q would spell out its next strategy after the meeting of Central Executive Committee to be held on Wednesday (today), PML-Q chief said while briefing the media after parliamentary partys meeting. Talking about his meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Shujaat said that he made it clear to Premier Gilani that his party had some serious concerns on the hike in POL prices. I will send Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Raza Hayat Hiraj to meet Prime Minister Gilani regarding the recent hike in petroleum prices, he said. They would not discuss any deal for power sharing, he added. To a question, former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that his party lacked required numbers to launch no-confidence move, however, PML-N had the required number so it should launch no-confidence move against the Prime Minister. Let the PML-N take initiative first then we would decide to support to PML-N or PM, said Elahi while answering a question about the role of PML-Q if PML-N moves a no-confidence move against the PM. Coming down hard on PML-N, he said that PML-N had been criticising the Government for corruption and inflation but it did not end up it alliance with PPP in Punjab. He condemned the killing of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer. Senator Wasim Sajjad, Senator S M Zafar, MNA Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, Sheikh Waqqas Akram, Dr Donia Aziz, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Raza Hayat Hiraj and other parliamentarians attended the meeting.
