JHANG - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activists took out a rally under the slogan of ‘Corruption Mukao, Mulk Bachao’ here Wednesday.

The rally, led by PTI District Chief Organiser Dr Abul Hassan, Syed Saleem Raza, Mehr Naveed Advocate and other office-bearers, after passing through Fawara Chowk, Shaheed Road, Rail Bazaar, Session Chowk ended at party’s district secretariat at Yousaf Shah Road.

Addressing a large number of participants, Dr Abul Hassan and other speakers said the PTI would end all kind of corruption from government and semi government department within a short period of 90 days. The speakers said that the masses would elect PTI in upcoming elections with a huge majority as every Pakistani had fed up with the corrupt rulers.

The speakers said that after coming in power, PTI would hold all the corrupt rulers on accountability process and would take back looted and plundered public money. Dr Abul Hassan said that the party was preparing to launch a forceful protest campaign against prolonged unscheduled electricity and gas loadshedding, corruption and lawlessness as the menace has adversely affected the economy of the country. The PTI leaders termed the power and gas crisis artificial and alleged that it was created because of non-payment of dues to independent power procedures.

The proposed drive, they claimed, would press the government for making timely payments to IPPs for overcoming power loadshedding. The speakers also condemned the hike in electricity and gas tariffs.
