PML-N not against new provinces, MQM misusing the issue: Ch Nisar

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Thursday that his party was not against creation of new provinces but some political forces were using the issue to create chaos in the House.
Talking to media persons outside the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the PML-N has never opposed the demands of creation of new provinces but law and constitution should be followed for the purpose.
He said that as per constitution any resolution was first to be tabled in the provincial assembly after which it was to be moved to the National Assembly and later to Senate for final approval.
He severely criticised the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for creating chaos in the National Assembly over the issue of creation of new provinces due to which the assembly proceedings remained suspended for more than 20 minutes.
The opposition leader said that the MQM has no grief over the sufferings of people of Hazara and Saraiki belt but it only wants to cash the issue which was not possible.
He said that it was not the mandate of MQM to impose decisions from London and only elected members could remove the grievances of people of concerned constituency.
Chaudhry Nisar said that MQM through shouting and threats can suppress the people of Karachi but other people would not bear its attitude.
He said that no MQM member has ever been elected member of a union council in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa then how it could claim to represent the masses of two provinces.
The PML-N leader said that sincerity, struggle and commitment were needed to solve any problem and speeches and resolutions could not remove troubles.
