President Zardari in troubled waters

LAHORE - The present circumstances are tightening the screws on the PPP-led government, especially President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Supreme Court has given one-week-long deadline to the government and other parties to implement its verdict on NRO (National Reconciliation Order) case. On the other side, the memo scandal commission has started probing the matter.
In the light of current situation, the government has to face the music because of its confrontation with the Supreme Court and the Army as well, political circles believed.  The think tank of the government is worried about the situation and trying to pull out of President Zardari from the crisis, as they have felt that Mr Zardari is the person, who is being targeted.  The political forces including PML-N, PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami have demanded of the government to conduct fresh polls and have started their campaigns for the next elections by holding massive rallies across the country. The government is also concerned over this issue.
However, the government claims that it will complete its term by facing all the challenges.
