PESHAWAR - Former provincial president of Awami National Party and veteran politician Begum Naseem Wali Khan on Saturday announced formation of Bacha Khan Awami National Party.

“I waited for seven years and hoped that the ANP would deliver but in vain and anymore wait would be useless therefore I decided to make a new party to promote Bacha Khan’s mission,” she told a press conference here at the residence of party provincial leader.

She also offered people to join the new party especially those who left the ANP due to differences.

She accused that the incumbent leadership of ANP had forgotten the mission of Bacha Khan and only remained busy in plundering and looting during last five years of rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She informed that she will soon call a meeting “grand Jirga’ of followers of Bacha Khan in which a decision would be taken about nominating leader of his party without her interference. “I will try to stop workers from any unfair deeds and would carry mission of Bacha Khan in real way,” she vowed. Naseem Wali said that the mission of Bacha Khan for peace and services to poor and humanity are not hidden from anyone but the incumbent ANP leadership had disobeyed rules and philosophy of the great leader.

She said the time has come to compensate the damages.

She asked the ANP disgruntled workers to strengthen her hands by joining new party instead of going to other political parties.

“There will be no place for corrupt and looters in my party, as I mentioned earlier that Asfandyar Wali Khan, Azam Khan Hoti and Ameer Haider Hoti will not part of this party,” he clarified. She said that those people, who were disobeying philosophy of Bacha Khan, were not alive in her eyes. She said her party would make decision on merit. When asked about Lawangeen Khan to lead the party, she replied that Lawangeen is immature for taking over huge responsibility. “If the jirga decides to handover leadership to Lawangeen then it will be totally injustice,”

 she remarked.

To another query, she said that she remained silent for seven years, because during that period, there were no accusations or corruption surfaced against the incumbent ANP leadership. Now, she said that NAB has clarified the former ANP-led government involved in looting public money and failed to deliver during last five years of its rule in KPK.

Commenting on the PTI chairman statement regarding construction of Kalabagh Dam, she said that three provinces had unanimously adopted resolution against the KBD, saying that the demand of PTI chairman was an injustice with the people of three provinces.
