Khushab District Police Officer Faisal Gulzar has said that cordial relationship between police and journalists can help in overcoming crime and ensure sustainable peace in the district.
Talking to the media here on Monday, the DPO said that free and fair reporting put journalists on high esteem and they were respected by all segments of society.
The DPO appreciated the role of local journalists in curbing crimes and purging police force of black sheep, saying that the close liaison between law enforcers and journalists is inevitable to cleanse the area of all sorts of evils.
On the occasion, the local journalists assured him their full cooperation.
