KARACHI - Police have killed a bandit in an encounter in the wee hours of Sunday in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station and recovered looted valuables and a TT pistol for his possession. According to police officials, three youngsters were going on three bikes when a police mobile asked them to stop in front of the Rado Bakery located between Block-11 and 12 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. They did not stop, when police chased them they opened fire on the police vehicle. In retaliation, police opened fire on them in which one bandit sustained injuires who was identified as Bilal, resident of Pehlwan Goth. He later died on way to the hospital. DSP Al-Falah Shafi Rind said that a looted bike, one TT pistol and three mobiles were recovered from his possession. The recovered bike was snatched on April 30 within the limits of Sharah-e-Faisal police station, while one mobile was snatched just two hours before the encounter, Rind said. He further said that the Bilal was a street criminal and the police are trying to find out other accomplices of Bilal. It may be remembered that CCPO has issued orders to police to increase security in the area after the incident of Data Darbar and police have started checking at many places.
