Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Imtiaz Inayat Elahi has directed an inquiry of fraud in Municipal Administration Department. The Chairman CDA has directed the inquiry committee to present its report within a week. According to sources, pay orders for DMA were being transferred to personal accounts, which had caused loss of Rs. 14 million to CDA. Sources said that Rs. 3 million has been recovered while the pay orders of the same amount has been stopped during the process of payment and the concerned banks have assured to CDA of shifting the amount in the account of CDA. Director Accounts Fazal has been appointed as the head of the inquiry committee while Director Coordination Riaz Ahmed, Deputy Director Municipal Administration Khizar Hayat Satti and Accounts Officer Chaudhary Sultan are among the inquiry committee. CDA had already suspended its two officials.
