Rehman Malik meets Mufti Munib: action against banned outfits, peace march discussed

Interior Minister Rehman Malik held meeting with Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman leader Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee here on Monday and discussed affairs related to action against banned outfits and peace march. According to details, during the meeting Mufti Munib-Ur-Rehman said that the government of Punjab has to make it clear that it is not with those who are spreading hullabaloo in the country. Interior Minister Rehman Malik assured that the elements who challaned government's writ and deteriorate law and order situation in the country, would be dealt with iron hands and action would be taken against banned outfits. He said that the government would foil conspiracies of sectarian riots with cooperation of Ulema. Talking to media after meeting, Mufti Munib-Ur-Rehman said that he agreed with joint declaration issued in Ulema conference. He said that he has informed Rehman Malik about problems faced by Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat and he ensured that all problems would be resolved as soon as possible. Mufti Munib-Ur-Rehman said that the government should utilize all resources to eliminate terrorism. He vehemently condemned the suicide attack at Data darbaar and said that the perpetrators should be punished as soon as possible. He said that establishment of law and order situation, is joint responsibility of Federation and provinces.
