LAHORE - A 25-year-old youth sustained multiple bullet injuries when some eight armed men opened fires on him on his refusal in joining their gang in Qilla Gujjar Singh police precincts on Sunday. As per details, a youth Zeshan, resident of Green Town, was on his way when the accused including Naeem Bhatti, Imran Zaidi, Ijaz Sharif alias Goga, Jameel, Irfan and their three unidentified accomplices signalled him to stop and hurled threats of dire consequences if he further refused to join their gang. Police sources said on Zeshans refusal, the accused opened fires on him as a result of which the victim sustained severe injures. Meanwhile, police concerned reached the site but the accused had already fled the scene. According to reliable police sources, the accused were involved in land grabbing and extorting money from the local residents. The sources further added the accused had links with a student organization MSF (Q). Police, however, have registered an FIR against the accused with no arrest till filing of this report.
