UK-returned robbed in daylight

HAFIZABAD - In broad daylight three armed dacoits entered into a house located in busiest Madhrianwala Road and snatched away UK pounds, gold ornaments, Pak- currency and valuables worth Rs1.1 million here on Monday. According to police, the relatives of former General Secretary District Bar Association Ch Amanullah Sandhu who came from the UK to visited his residence. As soon as they entered the house at about 1pm, three armed bandits stormed into the house and snatched 2000 UK pounds, gold ornaments, Pak-currency from the guests and other occupants of the house at gunpoint. The City Police have registered a case and are investigating. It is pertinent to mention here that there is Dakoo Raj here for the past about a month and the police have failed to check such incidents. FOUR DACOITS LOOT MOBILE SHOP: Four armed dacoits deprived a mobile shop owner of cell phones and calling cards worth Rs0.3 million in broad daylight on Monday in Sukheke Mandi. According to police, four armed bandits barged into the shop of Faiz Alam in Sukheke Mandi and snatched away cell phones and calling cards. According to another report, four armed bandit riding a car snatched away cash and cell phones from passengers of a near wagon Kanwanwali village Monday afternoon. The Sukheke police are investigating.
