ISLAMABAD (Online) - Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim said work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline is expected to start in six months and will be completed till 2014. Prime minister and foreign minister are trying to address the US concerns over that matter. Talking to BBC in a special interview, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim said Pak-Iran gas pipeline plan would be completed till 2014. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and foreign minister are trying to find a solution of the US apprehensions regarding the plan. It is to be noted that India was also a part of the plan earlier but sidelined itself under sheer pressure of the USA. He said present regime was stuck to the energy policy and soon it would be uncovered. In addition to that, he maintained, government was working on emergency basis to resolve energy issue and Cabinet Committee had approved installation of an 1100 MW Power House at Kohala. Another Power House plan comprising 500 MW generated power with Gas in Ooch was also approved.
