N’s govt lacks sincerity, says Qadri

LAHORE: PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Saturday has claimed the PML-N government is not sincere in implementing the National Action Plan.
Talking to journalists after chairing a joint meeting of the Central Executive Council and Central Working Council, the PAT chief demanded death sentence for those getting foreign funding and involved in terrorism. “Sharifs are playing politics in the name of NAP and befooling the army and the nation. In fact they (Sharifs) are backing the terrorist organisations in the country,” he further alleged.
Dr Qadri said the communications of the PML-N leaders with terrorist outfits was an open secret, regretting the NAP was not implemented even after six months have passed already. “Foreign funding continues to terrorists and the registration process of those madrassas who preach and distribute hate material has not even started,” he said, adding neither NACTA has started its work not a syllabus has been prepared for the schools and seminaries. He also alleged the PML-N government was receiving kickbacks in mega projects.
As per statement, the meeting reviewed in detail the Model Town tragedy and decided to approach international organisations, forums and raise the issue to “expose the inhuman face of the Sharifs before the whole world”. A resolution was also passed in the meeting, demanding the immediate publication of the Judicial Commission report and formation of a Joint Investigation Team as desired by the heirs of those killed in the Model Town.–Staff Reporter
