PAFP lauds crackdown on quackery

LAHORE: Appreciating the ongoing campaign against quackery, Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians has urged the Punjab Healthcare Commission to give maximum punishment to the quacks playing with lives of the masses.
Chairing a meeting on Saturday, President of the medics body Dr Tariq Mahmood Mian said quacks are causing fast spread of diseases like hepatitis, diabetes and hypertension. Previously, the quacks managed to escape punishment due to absence of laws, he said, adding there is now clear law and mechanism to check quackery which would help overcoming the menace.–Staff Reporter
