PESHAWAR - In order to thwart any terrorist attack in future, the provincial government has chalked out a plan to construct watch towers around Bacha Khan International Airport.

Following terrorists attack on Bacha Khan International Airport in December 15, 2012, the government has taken a principal decision to construct watch towers around this facility to make it safe from possible terrorists’ attacks and protect important government installations around it.

Official sources in the Home Department informed that the project has been included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2015-16 and hopefully work on it would kick off in current fiscal year. The construction of watch towers would help improve surveillance of the airport besides bolstering its security.
