LAHORE - The National U-23 Football Championship 2021 was inaugurated by Syed Ashfaq Hussain at Kunch Football House Ground Abbottabad. Sardar Naveed Haider, Naveed Akram and Ch Faqir Muhammad, Shahid Khan Shanwari, Ch Muhammad Saleem, Tariq Mahmood, Israr Bacha and a large number of people were also present on the occasion. Organizing Secretary Adil Jadoon presented the tournament report. All the teams performed the march past during the opening ceremony. Three matches will be played on Monday (today). In the first match, Balochistan Bazigar will play with Punjab Warriors, KP Hazara Stars will take on Khyber Eagles in the second match while the third match will take place between Shah-e-Punjab and Islamabad Tigers. Total 12 teams from across the country are taking part in the championship and have been divided into four groups. Group-A - Sindh Qalandars, KP Falcon and Kashmir Kings; Group-B - Balochistan Bazigar, Punjab Warriors and Gilgit Markhors, Group-C - KP Hazara Stars, Balochistan Zorawar and Khyber Eagles; Group-D - Shah-e-Punjab, Sindh Saints and Islamabad Tigers.
